Rice To Go ? Food and Drink News

Italy?s number one risotto rice producer ? Riso Gallo ? continues to meet the needs of today?s consumer with the launch of a new range. Although less time is being devoted to scratch cooking, time conscious consumers are still looking for a tasty meal solution that doesn?t have any nasty additives. The Riso Gallo Risotto Box is a speedy, high quality meal ready in under two minutes.

Riso Gallo has created a practical way to enjoy an authentic risotto in just 1 min 30 seconds. The innovative production process ensures a creamy and al dente risotto ? the rice and the sauce are cooked separately, each maintaining their organoleptic characteristics.

There are three flavours in the range; Chicken and Mushroom, Ham and Tomato and Four Cheese. The box, a 325g carton complete with disposable fork, is designed for one person and has an 18 month shelf life at room temperature.

Jason Morrison, Managing Director of Gallo UK, Ltd. has conducted numerous focus groups and analysed market trends in order to ensure the final range would satisfy current consumer needs. He says, ?Research conducted in the UK, concluded that consumers wanted a quick and convenient alternative to pasta and noodles, that was packed with protein and flavour.?

Surface Success May Hinge on Cool Covers

The Microsoft Surface tablet made its official debut on Thursday, and many are judging this tablet by its two magnetic keyboard cover options. The keyboards are one of the main components allowing the Surface to be positioned as much as a laptop as a tablet. They could allow the new Windows 8 machine to break out and claim its own niche in the market.

Windows 8 Is Steve Ballmer's Make-Or-Break As Microsoft CEO

SAN FRANCISCO -- Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer can't afford to be wrong about Windows 8.

On Thursday in New York, Microsoft unveiled a dramatic overhaul of its ubiquitous Windows operating system. It will go on sale Friday, fused into more than 1,000 PCs and other devices. If it flops, the failure will reinforce perceptions that Microsoft is falling behind competitors such as Apple, Google and Amazon as its stranglehold on personal computers becomes less relevant in an era of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.

If Ballmer is right, Windows 8 will prove that the world's largest software maker still has the technological chops and marketing muscle to shape the future of computing.

"This is going to be his defining moment," said technology industry analyst Patrick Moorhead of Moor Insights & Strategy. Ballmer's "legacy will be looked at as what he did or didn't do with Windows 8. If Windows 8 is not a success, a lot of people will be looking for Microsoft to make a change at the CEO level."

Windows 8 is designed to run on PCs and tablet computers, heralding the biggest change to the industry's dominant operating system in at least 17 years. It also marks the first time that Microsoft has made touch-screen control the top priority, though the system can still be switched into the familiar desktop mode that allows for control by keyboard and mouse.

Ballmer sees Windows 8 as the catalyst for a new era at Microsoft. He wants the operating system to ensure the company plays an integral role on all the important screens in people's lives ? PCs, smartphones, tablets and televisions.

"You are going to love the new Windows," Ballmer promised during a Thursday presentation. At other points of his speech, Ballmer hailed the new PCS running on the "bold, innovative" system as the best ever made.

Early reaction has been mixed. Some reviewers like the way the system greets users with a mosaic of tiles displaying applications instead of relying on the desktop icons that served as the welcome mat for years. Critics say it's a confusing jumble that will frustrate users accustomed to the older versions, particularly when they switch to desktop mode and don't see the familiar "start" button and menu.

Windows 8 will hit the market backed by an estimated $1 billion marketing campaign. The advertising frenzy is just one measure of how important Windows 8 is to Microsoft's future.

Ballmer's margin for error is slim after being consistently outpaced by Apple and Google in his nearly 13 years as CEO. During his tenure, Microsoft's stock has lost nearly half its value, wiping out more than $200 billion in shareholder wealth.

But the company's board hasn't expressed any public dissatisfaction with Ballmer, who is Microsoft's second-largest shareholder with a 4 percent stake worth $9 billion. Only his good friend and predecessor, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, owns more of the company's stock. Gates has a 5.5 percent stake.

Since Ballmer succeeded Gates as CEO in January 2000, Microsoft's annual revenue has nearly quadrupled to $74 billion and expanded into lucrative new territory with its popular Xbox 360 video game console, which has given the company a platform for delivering services to television sets. But Microsoft has been slow to respond to technology shifts and has made some costly missteps trying to catch up.

Some of the best-known blunders include the company's iPod clone, the Zune, and its $6.3 billion acquisition of Internet ad service aQuantive.

Ballmer, 56, has spent most of his life at Microsoft. He was attending Stanford University's graduate school of business in 1980 when Gates, a former classmate at Harvard University, persuaded him to drop out and become one of the startup's first 30 employees. He brought more business savvy to the operation just as the company began providing an operating system for IBM Corp.'s first personal computer.

Just two weeks before Ballmer took over, Microsoft's stock reached its peak price. The dot-com bust quickly deflated that market value, and the company became locked in antitrust battles in the U.S. and Europe that distracted management for years.

The biggest question hovering over Windows 8: Is it innovative and elegant enough to lure consumers who are increasingly fond of smartphones, tablets and other sleek gadgets? Those mobile devices have been setting industry standards while Microsoft engineers have spent two years designing a new operating system.

And Windows 8 must address not only the upheaval in the computing market since Windows 7 came out in 2009, but also have the flexibility to adjust to future shifts in technology before Microsoft releases another version in two or three years.

"It doesn't seem like Microsoft is really pushing consumers into the future with Windows 8," said Forrester Research analyst Sarah Rotman Epps. "What Microsoft has done is like buying a pair of shoes for a kid. The shoes may fit exactly right today, but those shoes probably won't fit six months from now."

Previous versions of Windows and other Microsoft products such as Office are so deeply embedded in companies and government agencies that Microsoft is still assured a steady stream of revenue from that segment of the market. That loyal base of customers is one of the reasons that Microsoft is expected to earn $25 billion on revenue of $80 billion in its current fiscal year ending next June.

"This isn't a company that is on the edge of extinction, like some people would have you think," said BGC Financial analyst Colin Gillis. "What we are seeing with Windows 8 is classic Microsoft. They let the (technology) market lead and then they follow."

But investors want to see Microsoft do something more. The nagging fear on Wall Street is that the PC industry is past its prime and heading into a gradual decline that will pull down Microsoft, too.

The signs of decay have been proliferating since Apple released the iPad in 2010, hatching a tablet computer market that has combined with an already vibrant smartphone market to siphon away technology spending that used to go toward the latest PCs.

Worldwide PC sales year are expected to decline this year for the first time since 2001, according to the research firm IHS iSuppli. It's a drop of just 1 percent, but it underscores a troubling trend that has been hurting Microsoft.

The shift to mobile devices has whittled Microsoft's worldwide share of the computing device market from 67 percent in 2008 to about 30 percent today, estimates Forrester Research analyst Frank Gillett. Thanks to its Android software for phones and tablets, Google is now the leader with a 40 percent share of the computing device market. Apple stands at 20 percent.

Analysts don't expect Microsoft's corporate and government customers to immediately embrace the new system, no matter how much it's hyped. About half of this traditionally cautious group of customers still haven't upgraded to Windows 7. Most analysts expect companies and government to hold off on switching to Windows 8 for at least another year.

Ballmer hopes to accelerate the changeover by making Microsoft's Office software suite more compelling, with the help of two major acquisitions.

Microsoft bought the video chat service Skype for $8.5 billion last year and in June agreed to pay $1.2 billion for Yammer, a service the builds social networking services within companies. Both are expected to become key features within Office to make it easier for workers to connect and collaborate with their peers and customers.

Ballmer also has won praise from analysts for striking potentially fruitful partnerships with Yahoo Inc. and Nokia. Microsoft now provides Yahoo with much of the same technology that runs its Bing search engine. The Yahoo deal provides Microsoft with 12 percent of the revenue from the ads shown alongside search results on Yahoo's website.

The Nokia alliance ensured Windows 8 would be the operating system on that company's latest line of smartphones, a potentially valuable platform if Nokia is able to regain some of the market share it has lost in mobile phones during the past five years.

(Microsoft has also joined with The Associated Press to use AP content in Windows 8 news applications.)

But none of that has yet restored the luster Microsoft had on Wall Street when Gates was in charge.

Ballmer's initially dismissed emerging threats from Google and Apple. He consistently pooh-poohed Google as a one-trick company during its early years and in 2007 declared: "No chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share."

Those were some of his biggest mistakes, detractors say. Google quickly made important inroads in Internet video, online maps, email and mobile computing and contributed to the damage that the iPhone and iPad have done to Microsoft and its partners in the PC market.

Apple's meteoric rise has been especially painful for Microsoft. When Steve Jobs returned to run Apple in 1997, the company was so bad off that it needed a $150 million infusion from Microsoft to stay afloat. Now Apple has a market value of $570 billion ? more than double Microsoft's $235 billion.

On Tuesday, Apple got a chance to upstage Microsoft when CEO Tim Cook showed off the iPad Mini, a smaller and less expensive version of its top-selling tablet.

On Thursday in New York, Ballmer got his chance to herald the arrival of the most important product of his reign. The response to Windows 8 may determine whether it turns out to be the opening act in his vindication or one of his final moments in the spotlight.

Can your body sense future events without any external clue?

ScienceDaily (Oct. 22, 2012) ? Wouldn't it be amazing if our bodies prepared us for future events that could be very important to us, even if there's no clue about what those events will be?

Presentiment without any external clues may, in fact, exist, according to new Northwestern University research that analyzes the results of 26 studies published between 1978 and 2010.

Researchers already know that our subconscious minds sometimes know more than our conscious minds. Physiological measures of subconscious arousal, for instance, tend to show up before conscious awareness that a deck of cards is stacked against us.

"What hasn't been clear is whether humans have the ability to predict future important events even without any clues as to what might happen," said Julia Mossbridge, lead author of the study and research associate in the Visual Perception, Cognition and Neuroscience Laboratory at Northwestern.

A person playing a video game at work while wearing headphones, for example, can't hear when his or her boss is coming around the corner.

"But our analysis suggests that if you were tuned into your body, you might be able to detect these anticipatory changes between two and 10 seconds beforehand and close your video game," Mossbridge said. "You might even have a chance to open that spreadsheet you were supposed to be working on. And if you were lucky, you could do all this before your boss entered the room."

This phenomenon is sometimes called "presentiment," as in "sensing the future," but Mossbridge said she and other researchers are not sure whether people are really sensing the future.

"I like to call the phenomenon 'anomalous anticipatory activity,'" she said. "The phenomenon is anomalous, some scientists argue, because we can't explain it using present-day understanding about how biology works; though explanations related to recent quantum biological findings could potentially make sense. It's anticipatory because it seems to predict future physiological changes in response to an important event without any known clues, and it's an activity because it consists of changes in the cardiopulmonary, skin and nervous systems."

Find The Top Tips Here For Success In Web Marketing

Sunday, October 21st, 2012 at 11:05 pm ?

Web marketing takes a lot of time, research and patience. It?s important to do plenty of research before diving in, to make the most of your efforts. It will take quite a bit of effort to make really good profits with affiliate marketing. We have provided you with some tips to help you be successful at internet marketing.

Affiliate marketers need to be mindful of social media since Google places particular emphasis on it. Social media has become a priority. The biggest social networks, like Twitter and Facebook, pop up on virtually every page with options for social interaction.

Some customers also make great affiliates. Whenever a customer makes a purchase, offer him or her the chance to become an affiliate for your business. If you can turn your customers to be your affiliates, you have the potential to turn one good sale into a thousand. You will increase both your profits and your affiliate network.

Affiliate promotion programs that are pay-per-sale can be quite risky. On the other hand, this approach can pay off tenfold if all goes well. Always spend enough time researching the affiliate program to find out if it is right for you before you sign up.

Often, communicating not only protects, but also strengthens, the bond with affiliate partners. Frequent and open exchange of ideas and feedback preserve your stream of revenue. Cultivating relationships with internet marketing partners should be a priority in any business since they can have such a positive impact on the development of your business.

Just because a site is one of the most profitable within that industry, does not mean it is the best. Make sure you do your research and gain knowledge about the businesses before you make any choices or investments in them. You need to make sure that it is marketable and will not cause you any problems.

When you have a sports themed website, your customers are going to come to your website seeking all things sporting related. Providing affiliate links may prove to be unfruitful if the links are forwarding visitors to websites that do not pertain to sports. Visitors to your website will be much more inclined to use links that advertise products relevant to the website?s content.

Check out referral programs recommended by web marketing partners. You can earn greater rewards for referring others to your affiliate marketing partners. Some even have a pyramid-like structure, where you get some of the commissions from people you referred. Companies that operate in fast-growing markets or within a professional industrial association are often more successful with affiliate referrals.

When deciding which affiliate companies you should partner with, favor those that provide resources and support. Affiliate companies generally know what they are doing. They have invested in research that tells which marketing angles convert customers. Well established companies will share that information with it?s affiliates, so they can use it to improve their campaigns.

Be sure that you are making use of a wide variety of venues to advertise your product. Several customers look online for products. Some people might be drawn in through the use of brochures or fliers. Some customers want to have a coupon for a percentage off the price. If you advertise using many different methods, you can reach many different types of customers.

Design an e-book, and put it on websites that are created for document sharing. This will show off your knowledge, attract visitors, and interest potential buyers in your website. You need to put links inside of your article.

Determine which advertisements have worked the best with your target market. Some people prefer interactive or flashy ads, while some others prefer simple text content. Know your audience when choosing your advertising style.

Some websites might try to scam their clients by getting them to use their tracking system. This fiasco can be avoided by simply using a reliable tracking system.

If you take the time to plan your next move and keep these tips in mind, you are going to see the positive outcome that you were hoping for when you decided to get involved. So make a action plan ? including these tips ? and get to work!

Lighting Dollhouse with Night Light Bulbs - Greenleaf Dollhouses

I just created a new gallery with photos of how I added night light bulbs to my dollhouse to provide more light than the miniature fixtures provide. This may not appeal to everyone, but i like it. It is easier to see all the details in the dollhouse rooms with the extra light.

When I first made this dollhouse many years ago I wanted more light than the mini chandeliers and lamps provided so you could better see the details in the dollhouse rooms. So, I came up with this idea of putting one 4-watt night light bulb in the front corner of each room. I cut pieces of wood to mount the night light bulb sockets and glued the wood pieces in the front corners. I put another piece of wood (without a bulb and socket) in the opposite corner of the room for a symmetrical look. The sockets are wired together with stereo speaker wire with a plug attached to the end to plug into the wall.

I am renovating this dollhouse and had to rip out all the mini wiring as well as the night-light bulb wiring to do the renovation. I have recently finished re-installing the night-light bulb wiring system and these are the photos of the recent re-do. My next step is to install all the miniature light fixtures and lamps.

I purchased the night light sockets at a home improvement store. Most of the sockets are white, but this is a black one I painted white (not a very good paint job). I think I ended up having enough white ones that I did not have to use this one in the dollhouse. If i had used it in the dollhouse, I would have given it another coat of paint. The sockets are wired together with stereo speaker wire from room to room. Real-life lamp wire can be used, but it is larger than the stereo speaker wire and I like the smaller wire best.

I don't know how to attach a link to my gallery in this message, but here are a couple of the photos from the gallery.

Reverse brain drain pulls Brazilians home, and Europeans with them

Reverse brain drain means twofold "brain gain" for Brazil as the global recession pulls native Brazilians home and, with them, a wave of European migrants leaving their austerity stricken homelands.

By Sara Miller Llana,?Staff writer / October 21, 2012

Miguel Lago works at the nongovernmnetal organization Meu Rio (My Rio), in Rio de Janeiro. He left Brazil to go to Columbia University in New York and returned in the global reverse brain gain when the economy in his home country turned around. This is part of the "Great Brain Gain" cover-story project in the Oct. 22 issue of The Christian Science MonitorWeekly magazine.

Melanie Stetson Freeman

When school friends Alessandra Orofino and Miguel Lago were growing up here in the 1990s, their hometown wasn't where they envisioned getting an auspicious start to their futures. It was depressed, dirty, and violent. So like thousands of Brazilians with means, they headed abroad for college ? both to Europe, and she, later, to the United States.

"When I left, people said, 'You are never going to come back,' " says Ms. Orofino, who graduated from Columbia University in New York City.

RELATED: Four reasons illegal immigration from Mexico to the US has dropped

Both friends ? like many immigrants around the globe ? figured they'd have careers abroad, returning home much later. They were part of the classic brain drain in which human capital flows from developing to developed nations.

But as they began college in the mid-2000s, the Brazilian economy was starting to boom, with a rising middle ? and consuming ? class. Indeed, by 2009, when Rio won the bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics, Brazil was an economic magnet for investment and "brain gain" migration. It was no longer a place to flee.

Now, not only is the Brazilian diaspora reconsidering its exile, but educated Europeans, fleeing economic recession, are flocking here.

Orofino and Mr. Lago returned in 2011 and started a nongovernmental organization ? Meu Rio (My Rio) ? to foster citizen promotion of transparency and good government in this era of explosive and lucrative growth in Rio.

"I saw the way that France's public services work, [and] for the first time in my life I experienced what was possible," says Lago, who studied at Sciences Po in Paris. "I thought, we have to fight for that in Brazil."

As Meu Rio opened its doors, Portuguese engineer Francisco Cruz saw firms around him downsizing as projects dried up. So he left his job in Portugal to relocate in Rio, which was drawing up blueprints for stadiums, bridges, and tunnels.

It was "riskier to stay in Portugal with a job than to move to Brazil without one," says Mr. Cruz, who got his first employment interview on his second day here and within a month was on the job at a firm designing Rio's bus transit system for the Olympic Games. The firm now is bidding on an Olympic Park project.

Be Careful With Internet Marketing Seminars - PDF

Be Careful With Internet Marketing Seminars

Being a full time surgeon doesn't make me immune to internet marketing scams. I do own a couple of
websites and am interested in learning. After receiving email alerts of a "Global Internet Seminar in
Hong Kong" listing Ewen Chia, Adam Ginsberg, Tom Hua and others as speakers, I paid HK$500 to
sign my wife and myself up for the three day seminar. Just one day before the seminar, they sent me
an email saying that I could bring a friend for free eventhough ticket-sales are closed. The first night
of the seminar fell on 27 Nov 2009, my nephew's wedding. We unwillingly gave it a miss, but it was
actually a blessing in disguise (I'll tell you why). The second day of the seminar was on a Saturday
and I could only turn up at 3:30pm after finishing my work. When I turned up at the registration desk
and asked about the promised learning material, I was told that it would be on the seat. A yellow wrist
band was put on me and I was admitted. I showed my wrist band and was guided to the VIP section
of the hall in the front, probably occupying 20% of the seating. I presumed that the non-VIP area
seaters were free admissions. When I entered the meeting hall, Ewen Chia was finishing his
presentation and making incredible offers to his audience, selling instant internet business programs
and lifetime support, in the form of 24 hour skype success etc, valued at US$25,000 but selling for
HK$25,000 to the first 50 sign-ups. There was a 8 page booklet on the seat, with 4 lined pages for
jotting notes, and no sign of the promised learning material. "Oh, no" was what I told myself. This
seminar had appeared dishonest to me so far, why should it evolve into anything different from then
on. The next speaker was Adam Ginsberg, au author and speaker on eBay selling. I had previously
searched about him on the internet and the accounts were a little mixture of "all-thumbs-up" and
scams. Ginsberg gave a very energized, feel-good and well-orchestrated talk on his success on ebay.
The presentation included his own experience of making huge sales on ebay, writing a book about it
and touring the world teaching people how to do it with money-back guaranteered. Unfortunately, the
presentation then started to turn seriously wrong into a sales presentation about his turn-key ebay
business package. There was a serious slip in reasoning: his initial success with eBay had nothing to
do with his software and business package which wasn't around at the time. Again he was selling it at
90% off the would-be price and giving away a one day seminar in Hong Kong in 2010, without a date
fixed. The too-good-to-be-true price at HK$24988 of course would be limited to the first 25 sgin-ups
only. I could see nothing but disaster coming and felt lucky that my wife was not attending this alone.
She naturally loves bargains. The third speaker was Alok Jain, a so called "Fast Cash Guy" in viral
email marketing. He painstaking explained how he was so poor that he had to turn to the internet to
supplement his wages. Another success story followed when he managed the build up a huge
emailing list of over 100,000 in record breaking time. (I don't think there are official records in things
like these). He went to preach how easy it was to make over HK$22,000 monthly repeatedly from a
three-liner email which he wrote on his mobile and sent on GPRS, when he was having a vacation in
rural India, being away from lap-tops and internet connection. He explained that it was all possible
because his list building method is different from the traditional method by being a viral marketing
method with a Vx factor (viral growth factor) of 1.05. Any growth of 1.05 means that the list will keep

on growing forever. He and his team of software engineer had already perfected the program and this
would now do it automatically after the sign-up had grown his initial list to a size of 400. This program
comes with a lot of free stuff including all the private label right products with reselling rights that Jain
owns. It would be selling for a ridiculous price to the people who ask, for 90 seconds only. At that
moment, I quickly got on my feet... And left.

This morning I searched the internet for Ewen Chia, Adam Ginsberg and Alok Jain on one of my
favorite websites called ripoffreport.com. The search for Jain yielded no results. The search for Ewen
Chia yielded five reports here: http://www.rIpoffreport.com/Search/ewen-chia.aspx. The search for
Adam Ginsberg yielded seven reports here: http://www.rIpoffreport.com/Search/adam-ginsberg.aspx.
Check out the reports for yourself and don't ever forget the golden rule on the internet: if it sounds too
good to be true, it most likely is a scam.

BuildingBlox: Home Designing - Stylish Wood Furniture

Stylish wood furniture has made a comeback over the years. It's very versatility allows it to compliment any room's d?cor. It's part of a diverse furniture group that not only blends in with any d?cor, it enhances it. If you love the smoothness and durability of modern wood furniture, but can't afford to change all of your furniture, there's an answer for that. Just buy a few key furniture pieces that will bring new life to your home. This will help you start a new collection that will last a lifetime.
One of the key benefits of stylish wood furniture is its durability. Hardwood, like cherry, mahogany and oak, don't scratch or stain easily. They also keep their color and natural shape because they're resistant to shrinking and warping. Stylish wood furniture doesn't go out of style with the seasons. High quality wood furniture is created as a work of art. So, it holds it value for many years.
Today, one of the biggest goals of interior design is to utilize space efficiently. Modern furniture needs to serve this purpose in order to provide your home with a great look without making it look cluttered. Some furniture can add a decorative touch to a room, such as a sculpture. But, some pieces need to be fully functional in order to add value to your home furnishings. Some of these functional pieces include storage areas, drawers and desks. Although they serve a purpose, they can still be artfully created to add style to any room. Your functional furniture needs to bring a smile to your face, adding harmony and balance to the room. Every rectangle-shaped table is not necessarily a modern design. Modern wood furniture adds sophistication to a room. It takes the latest design and construction techniques to create furniture that brings out the natural beauty of the wood. A truly modern design will be able to stand alone, or harmonize with the d?cor of any room. Wooden furniture is great for kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, nurseries, even bathrooms. When used in an entry way or foyer, it makes a very eye-catching centerpiece. In a home library or home office, sturdy designs help to create a look of success.

Wooden bathroom furniture is becoming more popular with trendy interior designers. Wood furniture makes a bathroom more stylish and modern looking. Wood is being used for bathroom cabinets, mirrors and wall textures. People are even starting to get into the new trends of wooden bathtubs and wooden sinks for their bathrooms. And, since wood is durable and long lasting, it's becoming a great choice for people who want to keep the same fixtures for years.

Modern wood furniture is much more stylish and versatile than it was when our grandparents bought it decades ago. The pieces were usually very large and gaudy. They weren't exactly artsy focal points for a room. They consumed the room, taking the eye away from any other beautiful additions and d?cor. Nowadays, the various styles are endless. Styles can be small or huge, masculine or feminine, adult-like or child-like, sophisticated or fun. Wooden furniture designers understand the diverse styles needed to furnish a home. When it comes to bedrooms, there are designs that are created especially for children. Then, there are teen designs and multifunctional designs for college dorm rooms. And, there's a barrage of designs for adults who want high-quality furniture to compliment their modern, specialty beds.

Oversee.net Announces WebFest Global | Elliot's Blog

Oversee.net has changed the name of its popular DomainFest Global conference to ?WebFest Global.? When you visit DomainFest.com, the conference?s former domain name, you will be forwarded to WebFestGlobal.com. Registration is now open for the February conference, which takes place at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel.

I don?t know if DomainFest will still exist in other formats, like the smaller one-day conferences the company previously held in various cities, but it looks unlikely.

According to a press release Oversee posted on its website:

?DomainSponsor?, the online direct navigation traffic monetization unit of Oversee.net? and organizer of the critically acclaimed DOMAINfest? series of domestic and international conferences, announced today that online registration is now open for its Webfest GlobalTM conference to be held February 5-7, 2013 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, California.?

It becomes clearer that the DomainFest branding has been replaced by the WebFest branding rather than been created in addition to it. The evidence is further down in the press release: ?Founded in 2006 by DomainSponsor?, the direct navigation traffic monetization division of Oversee.net, Webfest Global (formerly DOMAINfest?)??

I would imagine the company is trying to create a broader Internet conference with this new branding, since the DomainFest name is somewhat limiting. That said, I don?t think it?s bad to have a conference theoretically limited to domain investors, since DomainFest regularly drew over 500 attendees.

In case you care, Scott Day?s?DigiMedia owns WebFest.com. That domain name is listed for sale on the Domain Name Sales platform.

Full Press Release:?
