Family Holidays ? It?s not too late to consider the UK??

Article by Bob Brightside

Families are facing a crisis this year, they want to go on holiday this year as per usual but with money being tight it?s been tough to find somewhere affordable. Some families have had to make the unfortunate decision not to go away to their number one choice destination but stay home and try and enjoy themselves at home.

These families though are missing out on the wide range of choices of UK based holidays, holidaying in the UK has become increasingly popular as the financial crisis has worn on and much to many people?s disbelief the UK tourism trade has boomed with much money being pumped into providing great value for money to tourists.

The only potential stumbling block for many UK residents is that the typically unpredictable UK weather, but in recent years the summer months can become incredibly hot with barely a cloud in the sky. A lot of UK holidays are probably going to be booked last minute when those who are still in the UK this summer get wind of a positive weather forecast.

Still, whether the sun shines or the rain pours here in the UK it can have little effect on the number of things to do as many holiday parks and resorts have a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities. When on holiday abroad you often find that their entire tourism industry is built around the assumption that they will have good weather but when it does rain then there is little to do.

You may not think we have much to worry about having holidays in the summer but places like the Caribbean and Florida are often in the midst of their storm season when Brits typically go for holidays and so days out at a theme park or the beach can quickly be ruined by an incoming weather front.

In the UK there?s a wide range of different accommodation options available from luxury hotels to self catered holiday apartments or static caravans. Those with caravans themselves can stay at one of the many caravan sites both at major holiday resorts on the coast or in the beautiful British countryside.

The beach holiday resorts from previous generations are some of the main holiday destinations that are enjoying this revival with family holidays being heavily promoted due to the ease and convenience compared to taking a three/four hour flight to a foreign country and having to endure all the usual trappings such as flight delays or cancellations.

With many of the usual family holiday staples available such as beaches, children?s entertainment as well as entertainment for adults too it?s no surprise that tourists from both the UK but also other foreign countries are flocking to our tourist hotspots this summer!
