Crews were called to the scene of a fire at a popular sports bar and grill in Audubon, Montgomery County.
The blaze broke out shortly before 12:30 p.m. at the Valley Forge Beef & Ale on South Trooper Road. When firefighters arrived, they say the first floor of the building was filled with smoke. The fire eventually spread through voids in the walls to the third floor and out the roof of the building.
The building was evacuated and there are no reports of any injuries. It took firefighters four hours to bring the blaze under control.
Employees told officials they heard an explosion in the basement and felt the first floor shake prior to the fire. Officials continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
