'Rob': Stuck Between Two In-Laws Over Their Daughter's Dream Wedding (VIDEO)

It looks like the pattern is quickly being established on "Rob" (Thu., 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS). To the show's credit, the ethnic jokes took a back-seat to setting up the fun of Rob being trapped between all these warring factions in his new family. This week, it was about him robbing Maggie's parents of the chance at her dream wedding.

Maggie admitted that she had dreamed of her wedding day -- to Marky Mark no less -- but as the episode progressed, it became clear that it was more her mother Rosa's dream to throw her daughter this fabulous wedding. On the other side of the spectrum was the story that her father Fernando had been working extra hard to set aside money to pay for this wedding.

Trying to be the good son-in-law, Rob convinced Maggie to allow her parents to throw her the wedding, only to find out from Fernando that he'd lost all the money on betting. So he had Fernando on one side begging him to cancel the wedding without revealing his dirty secret, while Rosa threatened him on the other side to make the wedding happen.

The voice of reason, oddly enough, came from Hector. Tell the truth and jump out the window. Well, the first part of that was solid advice and Rob took it. With the big wedding off the table then, Maggie and Rob gave the family something else. They recreated their impulsive Vegas wedding with her family in the backseat. It's almost what they'd been dreaming of for years, right?
