Carrie Underwood, George Strait to Choose Finale Songs for Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina

Tonight?s final showdown between country teens Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery will add a little extra pressure from two of the biggest stars in country music: Season 4 American Idol champion Carrie Underwood and the legendary George Strait.
According to published reports, Underwood and Strait have both selected songs that the two teens will sing this evening. The selection of Underwood and Strait are due to both teens having songs selected by their own favorite Idols. Additionally, the two will perform personal selections from Season 10.
This will also be the first time the American Idol audience will hear the single debuts by both singers. The blog, Taste of Country, revealed yesterday that Scotty?s single is titled ?Love You This Big? and Lauren will unveil her version of Kristy Lee Cook?s ?Like My Mother Does.?

The lights of Phoenix: Was it Mass Hysteria?
There are many around the world that we believe to be visited by aliens ?. Local and national news networks about the objects and lights in the sky seen reporting. To the uninformed, it is easy to dismiss these events as delusional experiences from the viewer.
On 13 March 1997 ? Arizona State hosted an event that became known as the Phoenix Lights. The event was seen by 10,000 + observers for a period of severalHours. The basic story is that an object ? more than a mile wide ? Bulbs with 5-7 ? shaped in a V. .. Swept from the north to the south of the state. The task was very low to the ground ? move very slowly ? and uttered no sound ever.
This was an event of mass delusional hysteria? Let's examine the three key words: delirium, and mass hysteria. I arrange their order for the purposes of this article.
The definition of mass ismount or to a large body of people assembled. For those who have studied this event, there is evidence that more than 10,000 people observed this phenomenon in the Day 13 March 1997 in the State of Arizona proposes.

The question remains ? was the phenomenon of the Phoenix Lights ? an event in the delirium of mass hysteria? My short answer would be ? by definition. And that's my argumentto make this claim.
This event was witnessed by many people over a longer period. It was a time of the snapshot. There was a progressive event. The people went about their daily life ? when the event began to unfold. And the records show that more than 10,000 people attended a similar experience. So it was a major event.
But indicated that it delusional experience was not fit the facts. There were thousands of ordinary people involved. It's hard to imaginethat all these people were all involved in a hoax at the same time. And the end result of this experience was that an incorrect assumption of reality was somehow forced upon them.
It is a fact that church leaders are competent and reputable witness the event. These were not people who think other woods easily swayed by superstition. There were leaders, policemen, doctors, entrepreneurs, psychologists ? and the list goes on ? ofPeople who have watched this event.
And finally there is the question of hysteria. Interestingly, in the coming months ? Community leaders and volunteers have to discuss in a calm way, what happened was organized. They were ordered and methodical in their approach. All had attended an event has. Her application was ? What we have experienced?

Curvy, Slim Xperia Arc Is the Leggy Supermodel of Smartphones
Undeniably attractive and super skinny, Sony Ericsson?s Xperia Arc is ready for a career as a runway model.
This fashionable specimen measures a mere 0.46 inches thick at its thinnest point, the middle of the concave arc that runs vertically down the back of the phone. It manages to make my iPhone 3GS look almost obese in comparison.
Slimness is a virtue in devices, as it reduces that embarrassing Visible Phone Line in your pocket. But premium phones usually have a bit of heft to them, and in that respect, the Xperia Arc feels a little too thin. Flimsy, even. At 4.13 ounces, it?s incredibly lightweight, thanks mostly to the removable plastic rear cover that gives access to the battery, SIM card and SD memory card.
Fragile as it seems, it?s a solid, well-performing Gingerbread phone with an excellent camera and a beautiful screen. There are some problems with the software, and a few head-scratchers in the design, but overall, I can recommend it. The phone is scheduled to arrive in the United States this summer, most likely on AT&T or T-Mobile networks.
The design generates plenty of interest during bourgeois dinner parties when it?s time for the ubiquitous ?pull out your iPhone? ceremony after you run out of HBO shows to talk about. The Xperia Arc isn?t an iPhone, and its looks are definitely eye-catching.
Cool tooling aside, the backlit 4.2-inch ?reality display? is reason alone to consider the Xperia Arc. The LED touchscreen is powered by Sony?s mobile Bravia engine, a descendant of what the company uses in its HDTVs. It has excellent color reproduction and brightness, even during sunny days.
The iPhone 4?s screen has better resolution ? 960 x 640 pixels compared to the Xperia?s 854 x 480 pixels ? and is better overall, but the Xperia Arc screen is lovely to behold. When you need a bigger screen for gaming or watching movies, the Xperia Arc has enough power to drive an HDTV using the HDMI connector that Sony Ericsson supplies with the phone.
The camera was probably my favorite feature. The phone sports a Sony Exmor R sensor for its camera and a bright, f/2.4 lens. The images it produces are sharp, fairly noise-free and have great color and contrast. Overall, it takes some of the best photos I?ve seen from a mobile phone.
I shot some test images to compare the Xperia Arc to the current cellphone camera king, the Nokia N8. With its 12-megapixel sensor and f/2.8 Carl Zeiss lens, the Nokia should win this match. But images from the Xperia Arc have better contrast and richer colors. The Xperia?s camera is quick too, unlike the N8s, which needs thinking time as it processes images.
Thanks to the Exmor sensor, the Xperia Arc does very well in low-light situations. This is great because the LED flash is too powerful, often bleaching out the subject you?re photographing, and should be used with caution.
Video clips look good in 720p HD, but the Xperia Arc?s microphone picks up sound in the opposite direction of where you?re pointing the camera, so you?ll get a lot of extraneous noise in the recordings. What a shame.
Another failure with the camera is the shutter button. It?s stiff and small with very little travel ? a bit like the Power button, which also suffers from the same awkward size and action. It?s easy to blur images because you have to press so hard on the button, so I resorted to tapping the screen to take pics instead.
Camera-lens placement is also an issue. It?s easy to cover it up with the fingers of your left hand because the lens is right where you?d hold the phone. And where?s the front-facing camera for video calling?

Taylor Swift, Rihanna Dress To Impress At Billboard Awards

On Sunday night, some of the biggest names in the music industry hit up the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and decided that sparkles and sequins make for the perfect additions to any red carpet get-up. Well, it is Sin City after all.
Taylor Swift always seems to bring some of that Nashville sparkle to any red carpet. She arrived at the show in a pale-hued, sequined Elie Saab gown. Nicki Minaj showed off her signature sense of style in her baby-blue, body-hugging spandex Mark Fast catsuit.
Selena Gomez turned up the style dial in a sexy, cut-out black Dolce & Gabbana gown that she paired with red strappy sandals with sparkly bow detailing. Like Gomez, Ke$ha opted for some cut-out detailing in her sparkly, slate-gray dress with tulle skirt. Rihanna looked white hot in her men's tailored Max Azria suit, which she kept sexy and feminine by not buttoning her men's tailored shirt.
Fergie went S&M chic in her little black bandage-type dress by Herve Leger. Nicole Kidman also wore black. She paired a casual braid hairstyle with a long black gown and Keith Urban. British pop cutie Kyle Minogue looked funky in her little black lacey dress. Inside the show, Britney Spears sat in the audience wearing a skimpy black dress of her own, her hair in loose curls, with little-to-no accessories.
While some stars kept the color scheme low key, Keri Hilson decided to stand out in her billowy little yellow dress paired with a turquoise colored belt. Kelly Rowland showed off some of her best assets in a body-hugging, bright pink bandage dress.
The fellas also looked tight on the carpet. Joe Jonas wore all black with white sneakers, Ne-Yo paired his periwinkle suit with a Yankees cap and Justin Bieber wore black tuxedo pants with a gold-lamé tuxedo jacket.
